Science Funding

The regime is trying to destroy science. We will not let them.

Solar physicist Dr. Shea Haus-Weber describes how scientific research and institutions are being dismantled in the United States under the Trump Administration, and how the important branch of science that studies the Sun, heliophysics, is essentially being eliminated in this country. She urges us to join and support organizations that are fighting the administration to stop the damage being done to the country.

Nurse Practitioner Maureen Sheehan shares her story about the effect of Huntington's Disease (HD) in her family. She urges us to be advocates for those with HD since it is difficult for them to advocate for themselves. In 2025, there is still no effective treatment or cure for HD. Maureen emphasizes the importance of paid family leave and healthcare research to support families impacted by HD, from testing for earlier diagnosis to reproductive healthcare access for affected families.

A breast cancer survivor discusses her shares her gratitude for science at our May 9th rally. She talks about her journey from the initial to diagnosis to her participations in clinical trials.

"Illness is universal, and so is the need for cures."

The lead organizer for Stand up For Science and Sanity, Carol Peyser, MD, gave a speech on April 4th about the culture of enforced silence.

Ron Davis, PhD, is a Professor of Biochemistry and Genetics at Stanford. Dr. Davis spoke at the May 9th rally about how research funding cuts are already impacting the ability for Stanford to retain talented graduate students. He expects that innovation in the US will decline for decades to come as this brain drain continues. Dr. Davis encourages us to stand up and fight back as it is our only solution to reversing the damage being caused by the Trump regime.
