NBC Coverage of April 4th Rally
Local NBC reporting of our April 4 SUFSS rally highlighting cuts in funding for infectious disease research and prevention, and describing the oppressive silencing of voices in academia as well as the entire country. The reporter did not realize what we’d told NBC regarding being a new organization SUFSS, but we think NBC did a great job highlighting the issues.
ABC 7-TV evening news report about three Bay Area rallies held on March 7 to Stand Up for Science (SUFS), including our Palo Alto rally, which drew 350 - 400 participants. You can tell the Palo Alto site from the Pizza My Heart restaurant sign in the background. Note that this rally was not an official SUFS rally but inspired our new organization, Stand Up for Science and Sanity (SUFSS). We have somewhat broader goals than SUFS, but we admire and applaud them.
